This is a very major choice, and will determine whether the gameplay is boring or not for the entire game. Okay, ladies and gents, the first choice we have is the faction. Now, how about we get off me riding these guy's dicks and get onto our first choice! Within the game, the diversity increases tenfold, as religion, magic and leader bonuses all rapidly change how it plays. RifE converts the game to a "dark fantasy" setting, where you can choose from about 30 factions - all of which are very diverse gameplay wise. Fall from Heaven 1/2 were amazing mods, but this has improved of the formula greatly due to a variety of bug fixes and additions to the game. Rise from Erebus (hereby known as RifE) is a mod of Civ4 (technically modmodmod, but we'll get to that) which is built off the backs of an earlier two mods (Fall from Heaven 2 and Fall Further) and is an absolutely amazing. There's a wikipedia link there, go find out yourself if you live under a rock and have no access to the internet! It's a nice demo, but in my honest opinion it needs quite a bit of work.Civilization 4 is the most recent game in the Civilization series (Colonization doesn't count, STFU) which is one of the best known turn-based strategy / 4X franchises in the genre. I wound up getting stuck in the map and the rate of random encounters and the lack of skills from my characters made it too frustrating to continue. I got to the point where I find Damon and go use his boat or something like that. It's either one of the free release from Kain Vinosec or one from his two resource packs. I recognize it from one of the resource packs, if I'm not mistaken. The battle music you selected aggravated me. Chaos, Darkness, and Light would make up the world born of Father Time. There is horrible lag and I think it has to do with your diagonal movement system, which I found to be a novelty that wound up annoying me because I couldn't navigate the way I needed to.Īnother thing is that I don't really know what I'm doing or where I'm going. So I downloaded this game yesterday and I took it for a spin, and I'm going to be honest here and I hope that I can convey this in the most tactful way possible.
